Equip

At Creekside we believe God calls pastors, elders, shepherds and other leaders to equip the body to do the work of ministry. Unlike many churches who believe that the leaders should do the work of the ministry we know that the Body of Christ thrives when it is correctly equiped and released to minster to the body, in the community and to the ends of the earth.

Equipping happens in various ways at Creekside. Preaching has as its aim the spiritual formation of believers as we consistantly allow God's Word to instruct us and prepare us. Our Life Groups are an important part of community formation which is the basis for equipping. Being in a life group should help you learn while being affirmed in your giftedness and strengths. Our "Band of Brothers" men's group is a another avenue of growth and equipping as well as our Women's Ministry Bible studies. Our Journey Sunday Adult Class serves to prepare men and women for a life of depth and understanding. We encourage men and women to mentor others and disciple those who are ready for equipping and serving.

We offer ocassional workshops, seminars and special events for the purpose of equipping and preparing the body to serve and minister. Whatever your needs may be, we encourage you to browse the ministry links to the right and we know you will find one that is a good fit for you!
