Mercy

The Elders of Creekside have established a special fund which is to serve as a resource for those who are identified as having special financial needs. We take a Mercy Fund offering on the 1st Sunday of every month to replenish the fund. Donations can also be made at any time. The Elders have established a Mercy Team which is responsible to oversee the prudent distribution of the fund. They meet once a month to review cases and also are available on short notice to consider needs which are more urgent.

 

The spirit of the Elders is to help those in need. The Mercy Team has been assigned the task of interacting with people who have needs and to carefully ascertain how to best use the Mercy Fund. We ask potential recipients to fully embrace the process of providing key information and to be open to disclose the full nature of their contributing financial problems and personal issues. Although it is humbling to be at a point of great need, in order for the Mercy Team to make appropriate decisions, certain sensitive personal and financial information may be needed; all such information will remain strictly confidential.

 

Anyone who has knowledge of a need in the body or themselves have a need should contact an elder, pastor, or call the church office, 925-820-9031x101 and speak with Heidi Vleisides.
