What is the purpose of this sermon series?  “The Story of God: The Bible as Narrative”

The Bible is actually not a collection of different books, it is a single contiguous Story. It is God’s narrative to us on WHO He is, and HOW He wants to relate to us. This series will try and make sense of the Scriptures and help us determine our place within that Story by taking a sweep through what we typically call the Old Testament of His Grand Narrative.  It is our hope that over the course of this next year, you will be able to visualize for yourself what God has been doing over time and have an increased awareness of your place on His Grand Stage.

 

Doug McBride

Doug McBride is the primary Bible teacher of our current sermon series, The Story of God- The Bible as Narrative.  Doug was born and raised in Alamo and lives in a house in the same neighborhood he grew up in. He and his wife are both graduates of Monte Vista High and Cal Berkeley. He has been teaching the Bible for the last 30 years, starting as a volunteer Youth Pastor and has been a leader and teacher at Creekside for the last 15 years.  He owns and operates USMC, a small medical company specializing in cancer radiation therapy.
