An Update for Winter in Women's Ministry

 

Dear Sisters in Christ,                                         11/14/11

On behalf of the Creekside women’s shepherding team (Amethyst Thomas, Kimberly Grassi, Mollie Lillis, Tami Afdahl, Terry Santoro and me, Rhonda Fuery)

          “A Happy Fall to you all and best wishes for a rich Thanksgiving celebration.”

A number of you didn’t receive the email communication I sent this past August so I decided to send a letter.

As you know a church, Christ’s body, is made up of believers who use their time, talents and resources to bless and encourage one another and to model Christ likeness   to those in our families, our communities and our world who don’t yet know the forgiveness, love and acceptance of God.

During this season that focuses on being thankful we want to thank those women in our body who are volunteering at Creekside and we invite you to join them or to start your own avenue of ministry as God leads you.

To all the women who volunteer with the children’s and youth ministries; THANK YOU!

To all the women who work in the kitchen to provide snacks and meals for us on Sunday’s, special events and when special needs arise; THANK YOU!

To all the women who volunteer at special events like the Family Fall Festival,  who create special events like the Good Friday experience, who help with Operation Shoe box, who replace and water plants, work on the church bulletin, clean and organize, counsel and comfort, lead women’s Bible studies, set up communion, lead worship, work in the sound booth, organize fundraisers, teach and write and pray; THANK YOU!

Then there are the women who are ministering in a myriad of organizations in our community and our world; Teen Esteem, Children of Grace, The California Women’s Retreat (coming this February!!!), Shalom, Prison Ministries, Crisis Pregnancy Center and the list goes on. The reasons to be thankful and encouraged are limitless.

Please contact me if you would like to be mentored (or be a mentor) as this is an awesome way to grow in your faith.

We hope to have some special women’s events after the first of the year so if you have ideas or would like to be involved please contact anyone of us on the shepherding team.

Weekly Prayer Group Meetings For All Women

There are weekly prayer group meetings available to all women. Women meet on Tuesday mornings in the church library from 9-10am. 

Women's Mentoring Ministry

There is a women’s mentoring ministry available for those women who would like to be mentored or would like to be a mentor to another woman.
