Stewardship

The Creekside family is committed to giving to the Lord on a regular basis through this local body of believers as an act of worship, honor and thanksgiving. Our giving to the Lord is a worshipful response to Him based on our abundant life in Christ. We offer to God our very lives as well as a portion of our income because we love God. The leadership of Creekside takes seriously the responsibility to be faithful stewards of God's resources and we endeavor to wisely follow the Lord in how we use His finances. We do not require or coerce giving at Creekside but we do believe that giving is a way of life as we offer to God this sacrificial gift of our finances. People ask, "How much should I give?" We respond by telling people to let the Lord guide you through prayer. Biblically speaking (2 Cor. 8:1-15; 9:6-15), giving should be 1) regular; 2) sacrificial; 3) joyful; and 4) without limit.

In Matthew 6:19-21 Jesus taught:

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
